Dear Reader,
I am thrilled that you have chosen to read the Ring of Rosin! I wanted to share with you why I write what I write. If you check out my website, nancygoldenbooks.com, you will find that my tagline is “Light in the Darkness.” I believe there is way too much darkness in the world. We are all going through so many trials and tribulations. To pick up a book is a terrific opportunity to take a break from all of that and be transported to another place where you can forget your troubles for a while. You can have some breathing space and refresh before you must enter the fray again. That is my heart’s desire for you, Dear Reader. When you pick up one of my books, you will find yourself entertained and you are able to forget your troubles for a little while. There will be challenges and many obstacles that must be overcome in this epic fantasy and you will be reading a well-crafted story. And when you are done, you will feel better, rather than worse, after reading my book.
So, let’s talk about Ring of Rosin a little bit. It’s the second book in my fantasy trilogy and I am so excited to have launched it. It is a stand-alone in that you can go ahead and read without reading Book 1, Sword of Fate, but if you do read Book 1 first, you will have a richer comprehension of the characters. Knowing their back stories will make the journey more enjoyable but it’s not necessary to understand what’s going on with Book 2. I’m very excited about the new characters that I introduce and the elements of cross-cultural interaction inherent in Ring of Rosin. I had a lot of fun throwing together characters from very different backgrounds and documenting their struggle to understand each other and get along.
One of my favorite reviews from Amazon says:
“The Ring of Rosin is a great book for young and old readers alike. The story is a fantasy adventure of young leaders trying to find their way and coming together, in spite of or because of their differences, and forming a powerful bond for good. Character development, including their companion animals, makes The Ring of Rosin an entertaining and inspiring read!”
If you like dragons and other magical creatures you will enjoy those aspects in my books. If you, like me, love horses, then you will also enjoy the three horses that I introduce into the Ring of Rosin. Each one has its own personality and has a role in the story.
Will the Ring of Rosin’s power on the Day of Questioning help Rugal defeat the foreign threat to Elayas, or will it be used to destroy him?
Read along and see!
My mission is simple: to write quality stories that speak to the hearts of my readers and to provide positive messaging, leaving them feeling better when they are done. My books will brighten your day. Thank you for choosing Ring of Rosin, Dear Reader. I am so glad you are joining me on this fantasy adventure as King Rugal faces his greatest challenge since ascending the throne of Elayas.
Darkness may descend, but light shall overcome it.
