Dear Reader,
I had a dream when I was a child. The dream was bigger than me, bigger than anything
I’ve ever seen or heard before.
I wanted to be a writer just Victor Hugo.
I very much desired to transmit my readers what Les Misérables transmitted to me.
My destiny was sealed as I was living under a very
oppressive communist regime.
It was a fantasy, more than a dream.
Years went by, many changes occurred in my country and the
world. One day I left my parents crying and relocated to another country. Then to another one.
I didn’t want to leave, but I had no other choice.
One day, I realized
that life was passing me by and I was purposeless.
I was alone, full of open wounds, and so, so weary. My heart
was bleeding, my soul was lost, and my mind was shattered.
I fell down on my knees and begged for a chance to do
something for others if I couldn’t do it for myself.
And that moment I knew why I came into this world. I knew I
had a purpose all along. I just couldn’t see because my eyes were always
blurred with tears.
My childhood dream at the back of my mind was brought to the surface.
So I started writing.
I was insatiable.
Due to my outstanding
background and incredible life experience, I never run out of ideas.
I put my life into
words. I expose terrible stories of abuse,
and I reveal my deepest fears.
I invent realistic stories,
and I give life to many divergent
characters. I make them love, fear, cry and fight. I give them hope, and I instil in their minds the wish to never
surrender.
I invest everything in
this dream that has now become a reality.
Dear reader, I am an author,
and I dedicate every moment of my life to make you dream, laugh, snort, cry and
fight alongside my characters.
Please, remember my name, and note the titles of my books.
My mind, soul and body are in all of them.
To make your life easier, I mention a few: Oranges at Christmas in a Communist Country; Ten
Years in Italy, Three Weeks a Human; Half my Age Plus
Seven; iLive; and It’s Never Game Over.
I wrote others, and I am publishing another two by the end
of 2017.
So next time when you crave for a story written with the
heart, chose one of my books. Trust an author who writes for you while
sacrificing her needs to offer her octogenarian parents basic amenities.
And if you like them, why not hit follow and review them to
support me?
At the end of this letter, I wish to express my profound
gratitude towards you, dear reader. Without you, yes, You, I wouldn’t call
myself an author.
Love,
Cristina G.
