Dear Reader…
Thank you for taking the time to read my book FLOCK. You must have some interest in becoming the leader that God has made you to be. Your destiny is an exciting one and I hope that this book will make you think in a deeper and new way about how you might honor King Jesus with all of your gifts and talents.
God has a plan for your life and we all are in process. As a 71 year old male, I am still excited to advance in knowledge and wisdom to become all I can be for the kingdom of God. You seem to also fit that description.
Please attempt to read FLOCK with a new set of eyes. Eyes that come hungry, inquisitive and fresh. We have all heard a lot about leadership, but much of what we read comes from a secular point of view. The typical end game is money, fame or comfort. With FLOCK my intent is to change it to SROI. Spiritual return on investment. The seeds planted today by you may not sprout for years, but will be well worth the labor.
PLEASE take your time as you read. In our world we are so geared to finish rather than meditate. Please take time after each chapter to apply principles personally. I would encourage you to keep a journal of each chapter with take aways, things to consider and application. This is not a bible, but it is a story built on a life of leadership lived in a real way with many mistakes along the path.
God has a specific path, purpose, people group and destiny for you. Please to not fortiet that to become a copy of me or anyone else. Be you, living out thru the Holy Spirit the God given interests, talents and gifts he has individually given to you.

Tom Roy was the president and is founder of Unlimited Potential Inc., a ministry to professional baseball players. He has been a voice in major league baseball for almost 4 decades. Tom also served as a head high school baseball coach for three years as well as having 15 yrs coaching experience as a pitching coach and head coach at the college level.
