Dear Reader…
I am so delighted you have chosen to take action on getting good sleep every night! When I started my journey with insomnia, it was over 30 years ago. There were really no good resources then to dig deep and find out what I could not sleep well, other than taking sleeping pills. Nothing was on my mind it seems, and I was at a loss. So, I went on a journey of self-discovery, and did years of research too. I found out when I was very young, how my parents and others perceived me was how I existed, and I jumped to please them and this formed my identity. I never realized it until I had children of my own.
There was no sleep for me. I was miserable and could not keep up with my new born baby, or being a professional musician, a wife, or even a daughter.
My work was validated by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, a world leader in childhood trauma and PTSD. I read his work, The Body Tells The Story, and learned that my own personal research, (though I am not an academic) was validated. I had put a name to the study of Self long before it became sound academic study!
This book is a great guide, and I hope you will utilize it in truly identifying your true “Self” and get a good night’s sleep! If you feel so inclined as to leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads, or Barnes & Noble I would be honored. And I would even love to send you a free copy of the book that started it all, Healthy Sense of Self: How to be true to your Self and make your world a better place! Just email me at Annet@healthysenseofself.com.
Thank you!
