I, of course, do not know if you have already gotten my book, Aren't the Emperor's New Clothes Grand, and are reading it; or just reading this letter to satisfy your curiosity. Either way, I know something about you. You, definitely, are not a member of the Trump cult. Is “cult” a tad harsh? Have you never encountered an individual who rejoices at his every tweet and ignores or excuses the President's continual contradictions? Among the contradictions my book abounds with is his stance as a fiscal conservative. During the campaign, he had promised that he would elimnate the Federal debt of $19 trillion in eight years. Instead, he is on track to be the President with the largest debt increase in history. Where does Trump stand on global warming and climate change? Most people would say he believes it's a hoax as he has repeated over the years as early as 2012. Yet, he supports subsidies to alternative energies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The biggest joke is his support of corn-based ethanol as an extender for gasoline. The joke is that it takes more energy to produce a suitable low moisture ethanol than is derived from its use. He was hailed for exiting the Paris Agreement on limiting greenhouse gases; but upon leaving he stated that he would be willing to renegotiate. If limiting greenhouse gases is part of a hoax, what is there to negotiate? I guess you will have to ask a member of the cult.
In the book's introduction, I make reference to a book, titled The
Mass Psychology of Fascism written in 1933 by Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian
psychiatrist. An English translation of
a summary is available on the internet in PDF format. I suggest you take a look. I think you will find it intriguing and maybe
a little bit scary.
I am what is referred to as a Never-Trumper; but many people misunderstand what that implies. If someone says that he (or she) disagrees with what ever Trump says or does, that individual is being disingenuous; because it is impossible to know where Trump stands on most issues. At various times, he is on one side ; and at other times his position is exactly the opposite. So, I certainly don't disagree with the man all the time; but I do distrust him all the time. I know you are not a cult member; but at this point, I don't know how strong your view of Trump is. If you are currently neutral or, perhaps, just a little on the negative side; I hope by the end of the book that you will have swung over, at least, slightly to my position.
My book is a satirical critique of our President; so I certainly hope that it will evoke some chuckles; but I think you will find it to be dead serious. Without hyperbole, I truly believe Trump is a threat to our Constitution and Republic; and I think if you read my book objectively, you may come to the same conclusion.
About the Author
He loves to blog on Face Book; but he has
also self-published four books. The
first was a memoir of a brief teaching career after retirement, titled, Teacher's
Gotta Dance. The second was a
rebuttal to Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. His title is A Really Inconvenient Truth-
The Case Against the Theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming. For that book, he relied on his
scientific background as well as a lot of research. His third was a near future political novel,
titled, Secession- A Republic Reborn.
Several sub-plots include the subject of his previous book as well
as some innovative approaches to dealing with Islamic terrorism, our drug
problem, immigration, and tax reform.
His latest is his most controversial of all, titled, Aren't the
Emperor's New Clothes Grand. It's
a
satirical critique of our President and is
a take-off of Hans Cristian Andersen's fable, The Emperor's New
Clothes. The reference is to Trump's
cult-like following, which seemingly ignores all his lies and broken
promises. Fishman gives an iron-clad
guarantee that if you like Trump; you will hate his book.

If you love Trump, sorry,
this book is not for you. If, on the
other hand, you are horrified at what this
man is doing, I think you will enjoy it. I read a very interesting book recently that
discussed despots and their common characteristics. What, then, are the
characteristics of a despot? They attack free speech and the press. They
threaten political opponents with prison. They scapegoat certain minorities to
rally their base and divert attention from other problems. They engage in
nepotism and use their office for personal and family enrichment. They attack
and vilify the judiciary, legitimate law enforcement, and essentially anyone in
government who is not considered absolutely loyal. And, through a type of mass hysteria, they
create a cult following.
